📌 Inspired by vintage comics and pop advertisements at the 2024 Los Angeles Street Art Festival, Carlos Mesa created this piece over the course of three weeks using acrylic paint and Photoshop, and exhibited it in his 2025 New York solo exhibition, Carnival of Consumerism.
📌 The work collages classical and contemporary elements to satirize the superficial and false aspects of pop culture, expressing the hustle and bustle of consumerism through dialogue and symbols, and conveying reflections on social values.
